The ROYAL TUNA is a true EDC (Everyday Carry) knife. Of all the wonderful knives in the Fire Goby Forge range, this is the one most likely to be worn every day.
 

Based on the "Goldilocks" design by Mr Gavin Bewsher (UK), it is neither too long nor too short; neither too heavy nor too light. It is... just perfect!
 

The broad blade features a beautiful 200 mm radius hollow grind and a paper-thin edge, ensuring it will cut—and keep on cutting—everything from steak and biltong to vegetables (although only in an absolute emergency 😉). It is an exceptional hunting and skinning knife that feels as comfortable in the hand as it does on your hip.
 

Crafted from AEB-L* stainless steel, the blade is sandblasted and finished with a baked-on Kal-Gard* coating, making it exceptionally rugged, highly corrosion-resistant, and capable of excellent edge retention.

We use G10* as our standard handle material because of its virtually indestructible nature, exceptional longevity and wide range of colours.

The handle scales are screwed on, not glued. While this is more expensive and more labour-intensive to manufacture, the ability to remove the scales for deep cleaning is important.

Equally important is the opportunity for customisation. Since the scales are screwed on rather than glued, you can have a custom set of handles made to suit your personality. Imagine a pink set for the missus, or gold-anodised titanium scales for the ski-boat fisherman who wants his knife to match his tackle.

Of course, you can also simply use it, and use it, and use it, and use it with the G10 scales we fitted in the first place.

The quick release and ambidextrous sheath (for left- or right-hand carry) is "Moley compatible" and is made from 1.5mm Kydex and hot-formed to fit the knife like a glove, with the blade "clicking" securely into place.
